Canadian Collieries (Wellington) Paymaster's Office is probably the most modified building in Ladysmith. Because of this it is often regarded as a moderm building rather than a heritage building.  It is one of the buildings that was moved from Wellington.  The deck was removed and windows changed.  Only the roof line remains.
