Hall Building is second from left.  Was Mr. Smith's Restaurant, known for his chicken, and somewhat disreputable "lodging rooms".  Ladies of the evening could escape through a trap door whenever the police raided.  J.X. Smith was fined rather heavily in 1906 for illegal gambling
